Involvement
KRMA is an active and supportive
participant in the economic agencies serving Kankakee
County. KRMA provides public information presentations
to service clubs and provides tours to students and
interested groups throughout the County.
KRMA has for many years instituted a summer work program
for college students providing employment and exposure
to the field of wastewater treatment.
In addition, KRMA is available to provide wastewater
treatment information to perspective industries looking
at Kankakee County for development.
Planning
KRMA has sufficient treatment capacity to
allow for future increase in the influent wastewater
flows up to twice the current flow rate of 12 million
gallons per day. This excess capacity allows for long
term community planning by the member municipalities.
